For a concert, course, or meetup, use the URL of the specific booking page. Someone scanning the flyer should immediately see the correct event, date, location, and registration details. A QR code that opens a ticketing page is not an admission ticket and does not replace access control.
- Open the destination on a phone and confirm that it shows the correct event, including when you are not signed in.
- If you manage the destination site's analytics, add UTM parameters before pasting the URL into the generator. For example:
utm_source=flyer&utm_medium=qr&utm_campaign=event_demo. Replace the example values with labels for your event; do not include names, email addresses, or other personal data. - Generate the QR code, download it, and place it beside a specific call to action such as “Schedule and booking.” If tickets are sold on a third-party site, confirm with that provider which referral data is available.
- Print one sample at the intended size and scan it with multiple phones at the expected distance and lighting. Test the entire path to the correct page before ordering more copies.

Preparing a QR code for reliable printing
Use dark elements on a light background and leave clear space around the symbol. For a standard QR code, DENSO WAVE specifies a four-module margin on every side; one module is one square in the QR grid. Keep text, borders, and images outside this space. A decorative frame does not replace the quiet zone.
Check contrast and margins again after layout. Logos, colors, transparent backgrounds, and resizing can affect readability, so a successful screen test does not guarantee a successful print. Common mistakes to avoid
- Encoding too much data — more data can make the QR grid denser. Prefer a concise URL you control; a link shortener adds an external dependency
- Insufficient contrast — colors that are too similar can make the QR code unreadable
- Printing too small — there is no single size in centimeters that works in every situation. Module size, print quality, and scanning distance all matter, so test at the final size
- Skipping the final test — verify the QR code before printing a large quantity

No. The tool creates static QR codes. They continue to work as long as the destination URL remains available.
Can I add my logo to the QR code?
Yes. You can place a logo in the center. Error correction does not guarantee that every customization will scan, so test the result after adding the logo and again in the final print.
